1,100 cusec of water released from Darna dam

The irrigation department has released 1,100 cusec of water from Darna dam in Nashik district following incessant rains in its catchment area.
A senior official from district collectorate said the water was released this afternoon.
"We alerted people residing on the bank of river Godavari in Nashik, Igatpuri and Niphad tehsils about the release of water from the dam," he said.
