1.6 lakh licensed weapons deposited in poll-bound MP

As many as 1,61,768 licenced weapons have been deposited with state authorities since the model code of conduct came into force in Madhya Pradesh ahead of the Assembly polls scheduled November 25.
Official sources said that 108 illegal arms were seized and 156 licences were cancelled.
A total of 10,133 non-bailable warrants were executed in the state since the code was imposed.
