Vishal, son of one Rakesh died while 12 other children were injured when the wall collapsed and fell on them as they gathered to hear a DJ in a passing marriage procession yesterday, SP Jagdish Sharma said.
The incident took place when buffaloes, tied to the wall, panicked and started running helter-skelter as loud music was played by the DJ, leading to the wall collapse, he said.
The children were rescued by the villagers and were taken to a health centre, Sharma said, adding that Vishal's body has been sent for postmortem.
