One person was killed and another was injured when a speeding truck hit them near Pindari on the Gauriganj Musafirkhana Road today, a police official said.
The deceased was identified as Hanuman Prasad (50) of Manjhna village which comes under the jurisdiction of Dhammaur police station, he said.
The injured person, identified as Ramchandra of Pure Ben village, was rushed to a community health centre.
The police have seized the truck and efforts are underway to nab the driver of the vehicle, the official added.
