1 killed as van catches fire in UP's Sambhal

One person was killed and another injured when the van they were travelling in caught fire after hitting a moving tractor near Khirani village in Hayatnagar area, police said here today.
Ram Bahadur and Veerpal were on their way to Bahjoi to attend a marriage function late last night, when the van they were travelling in hit the tractor and caught fire, they said.
The duo was admitted to district hospital in Moradabad in critical condition where Ram Bahadur succumbed to injuries during treatment.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, police said.
