10,000l of illicit liquor seized

Around 10,000 litres of illicit liquor was seized, while nineteen persons were arrested during a raid conducted by the Excise department in and around the steel city here today.
A team of the state Excise department conducted raids at various parts of the steel city including Chayanagar, Chandinagar in Sitaramdera, Sidgora, Baridih, Parsudih, Nutandih, Hulung, Jugsalai and seized 10,000 litres of illicit liquor, said Tripurari Kumar, Sub-Inspector of the department.
Kumar said a godown of illicit liquor was also sealed and 19 persons were arrested in the process.
Among the arrested, he said three were sellers, including one Vijay Khatik of Jugsalai and sixteen were customers.
