10 killed, 18 injured in road accidents in UP

Ten persons were killed and 18 others injured in four separate road accidents in Uttar Pradesh in the past 24 hours.
The accidents took place in Bareilly, Banda, Ballia and Shahjanapur districts.
In the first incident, three persons of a family were killed and three others injured when the car they were travelling in was hit by a tractor-trolley in Bahedi area in Bareilly.
The incident took place yesterday when Ankit Srivastava (45), his son Ani (3) and his brother-in-law Rajkumar (35) and three others were on their way to Nainital, they said.
Ankit, Ani and Rajkumar were killed while Ankit's wife Anamika, Rajkumar's wife Nirmala and son Ayush were injured. They have been admitted to a nearby hospital.

In the second mishap which took place in Narhi area of Ballia, three persons were killed when a tempo collided with a bike.

The incident took place in Lakshmanpur village last night when Vipul Rai (24) and Atul Rai (24), who were travelling on his bike, was hit by a tempo.
Rai and the other vehicle's driver Suraj Yadav (24) were both killed on the spot while Atul who was riding pillion died during treatment in hospital.
In the third incident, two persons were killed and 13 others injured when a truck collided with a tempo in Bindki area of Banda district, police said.

The incident took place last night. Jagdei (45) and an unidentified elderly person, who were travelling on the tempo, were killed on the spot.
The injured have been rushed to hospital, where the condition of six was stated to be serious.
Police have seized the truck, while its driver is absconding.
In the fourth incident, two persons were killed and two others injured in Shahjanapur when a roadway bus hit a tractor in Kalan area last night.
Arvind (30) and Nirdosh (32) on tractor were killed on the spot in the incident while two Shubham and Rahul were injured in the incident, they said.
