10 lakh looted from petrol pump owner

Miscreants allegedly looted Rs 10 lakh cash from the dicky of a motorcycle dicky belonging to a petrol pump owner at Nimapara in Odisha's Puri district today.
The incident took place when the petrol pump owner, who had kept the money in the dicky to deposit the money in the bank, left his motor bike and went inside his office, police said.
Within seconds, the miscreants broke open the dicky of the two-wheeler parked outside the fuel station on Nimapara-Pipili road and decamped with the cash.
It is suspected that the miscreants, numbering about four, were probably following the petrol pump owner and keeping a tab on his movement, the police said.

Investigation is on and the police are examining the CCTV footage, the police added.
