1000 participants from paramilitary to play AIPAC

Around 1,000 sportpersons from Central and State Police forces would participate in the 65th All India Police Athletics Championship 2016 to be held here from September 3.
"40 teams with around 1,000 sportspersons from all paramilitary forces and state police organisations would take part in the championship that will be held at GMC Balayogi Stadium at Gachibowli from September 3 to September 7," CISF ADG Dharmendra Kumar told reporters today.
The participants will compete in 44 categories.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor E S L Narasimhan will inaugurate the opening ceremony whereas Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will grace the closing function, Kumar said.

CISF has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the All India Police Athletics Championship (AIPAC) this year. The championship will bring together athletes from all the States and Central Police organisations of the country and provide them with a platform to showcase their talents.
