11 rain-hit families shifted to safer locations in J&K

Eleven families affected by heavy rains in the Valley were shifted to safer locations in Ganderbal district by the police today.
Due to landslides triggered by incessant rains over the last three days, several residential buildings were damaged in Wanyarm-Wangath village area, a police spokesman said, adding two houses were damaged after a retaining wall collapsed in Rangil village of the district.
No one was injured in the incident, he added.
The damage necessitated shifting the affected eleven families to safer locations, he said.
