12 injured in battery workshop explosion in China

At least 12 people were injured today in an explosion at a lithium battery workshop in east China's Jiangsu Province, local authorities said.
The explosion occured around 6 pm at the workshop of Haisida Power Supply Co Ltd in the city of Qidong, local government said in a statement.
It said at least 12 people were injured, including factory workers and firemen.
The injured were being treated at hospitals in Qidong and Nantong.
