Apprehending that tribals laced with traditional weapons will enter the Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary in large number, the district administration deputed 12 magistrates in and around the sanctuary.
In a notice issued in this regard here yesterday, the Sub-Divisional Officer (Dalbhum) Prem Ranjan stated that law and order may arise in an attempt to prevent the tribals, who will enter the Sanctuary tonight to observe Sendra festival tomorrow.
The magistrates have been deployed since this morning today and will be effective till the hunting festival was over tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the tribals from across the Kolhan region as well as the adjoining districts of Bengal and Odisha will start climbing the Dalma forest tonight after performing the ritual in the day.
The hunting of animals will take place tomorrow.
