With as many as 120 doctors found absent in their places since posting two years back, the Odisha government today issued a public notice asking them to join the duty immediately.
The Health and Family Welfare department served the notices to 120 doctors who have remained absent without any permission from the authorities, the notice said.
The absentee doctors have been asked to report to duty within 15 days or otherwise face disciplinary action.
The state government in November last year, had dismissed 408 doctors from their services for remaining incommunicado despite several reminders.
