Speaking to media persons Deputy Commissioner of police Anupam Agrawal said two chain snatchers from Maharashtra and one from the city outskirt have been arrested.
A car, two motor cycles along with ornaments worth Rs 6.15 lakhs were recovered from them, he added.
Police said they have also arrested three persons from the city for involvement in burgling of laptops and mobile phones by threatening college hostel students; and recovered material worth Rs one lakh from them.
On increased cases of drug trafficking, he said an investigation team had been set up to bust the source of the supplies.
