Chief Medical Officer RP Yadav said the girl, Maya, died last night at the Hallet Hospital. According to the doctors at the hospital the deceased was showing symptoms of swine flu, he said.
The toddler's culture report has been sent for examination to King George Medical College Lucknow, Yadav said, adding, until the results come back they cannot confirm if the she was suffering from the disease.
According to health officials, Maya lived 200 metres away from the Juhi Lal Colony residence of Aapti, the two-and-a- half-year-old girl who had died of swine flu on Wednesday.
Further, all the private and government hospitals have been instructed to take precautions in such cases, he said.
