"Until yesterday, a total of 13 people were tested positive with the vector-borne disease in Jammu region," a health official said today.
He said that one more case of dengue surfaced yesterday in the Basohli area of Kathua district.
"On Tuesday, two children were tested positive for the virus in Government Medical College (GMC) hospital where blood samples of 26 people with the dengue symptoms were tested," the official said.
"With the fresh rainfall, the danger of dengue virus has increased so the people are advised to take precautionary measures so as to save themselves from the disease," he said.
He advised the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to do fogging of the areas which are susceptible of the presence of the mosquito larva.
