Acting on a tip off, police intercepted a pick up van at Faringola check post near Kishanganj district headquarter while it was passing through Bihar with a consignment of 135 carton liquor from West Bengal's Siliguri town to Dalkola, Ganga Rampur and Buniyadpur areas of the state, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Kamini Bala said.
The liquor consignment was seized for breach of Bihar's stringent liquor law requiring vehicles transporting alcohol to other states through its jurisdiction must be fully covered and shut with digital lock, she said.
