14 in fray for Srinagar LS seat

An independent candidate today withdrew from the race for Srinagar Lok Sabha seat leaving 14 asiprants, including Union Minister Farooq Abdullah, in the fray.
"Independent candidate Feroz Ahmad withdrew his nomination for Srinagar seat, leaving 14 in the fray," an official of the Election Department said.
As many 16 candidates had filed their nominations for the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat which is going to polls on April 30.
Candidature of an Independent, Nisar Ahmad Ahangar, was rejected during scrutiny.
Abdullah is seeking re-election from Srinagar and his main challengers are PDP leader Tariq Hamid Karra and AAP nominee Raja Muzaffar Bhat.
