14-yr-old boy kidnapped and murdered

A 14-year-old boy was kidnapped and murdered for ransom by three youths, known to him, following which the accused were arrested from Bhatta Basti area, police said.
Mohammad Ashrad (20), Mohammad Saddam (20), and Mohammad Shabad (18), all hailing from Bihar, kidnapped minor Mohammad Afzal and murdered him by hitting him with stones in Swarn Jayanti Park on Tuesday, after which they demanded a ransom amount of Rs one crore from his family, police said.
The accused were known to Afzal whose father works in a gulf country, police said, adding, they kidnapped him in a hope to fetch a good amount from his family.

They dumped the body at a deserted place in the garden and demanded ransom of Rs 1 crore by calling from the deceased's mobile, Police Commissioner Janga Srinivas Rao said.
They were detained on suspicion and during interrogation, they revealed the truth.
The body was found sent for post-mortem which will be conducted tomorrow, he said.
