14-yr-old raped by relative

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her distant relative at his friend's residence in North-East Delhi's Khajoori Khas area, police said today.
The accused, identified as Rafi (30), was arrested last night from his residence after the victim's family registered a complaint against him.
According to the police, Rafi used to frequent the victim's house. On Sunday evening, he took the girl to the residence of his friend, whom he had told that she was his relative and had come to Delhi for some work.
Meanwhile, the victim's father, realizing that his daughter was missing, launched a search for her. Rafi too joined in the search and even accompanied the father to police station to register an FIR.

"He then returned to his friend's place and raped the girl. However, when his friend realized that he had brought the girl after threatening her and had evil designs, he asked Rafi to leave his place.
"Rafi then dropped the victim at her home the next evening before threatening her of dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anyone," a police official said.
The victim then narrated her ordeal to her parents after which they approached police and Rafi was arrested after a case under sections of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) was registered against him.
