15 killed in road mishap

Fifteen people were killed and eight injured when the tempo van they were travelling in, rammed into a speeding bus near Aland in the district today, police said.
As many as 13 people were killed on the spot and the remaining succumbed to their injuries in the hospital, district Superintendent of Police Amit Singh said.
All the victims, residents of Akalkot taluk near Solapur in Maharashtra, were travelling to Gulbarga to visit Khwaja Bande Nawaz Darga when their van rammed into a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus, he said.
The injured have been hospitalised at Gulbarga and Aland and their condition is said to be out of danger, Singh said.
