The people had started gathering for the week-long Ganga Mela on October 31, Amroha District Magistrate Navneet Chahal said.
Special emphasis was laid on installation of toilets to ensure an open defecation free environment, he said, adding there was no case of drowning this time.
District officials said more than 15 lakh devotees took a dip in the river this morning.
