168 candidates in fray for Manipur first phase polls

A total of 168 candidates spread across 38 constituencies are in fray for the first phase of Manipur Assembly elections to held on March 4.
BJP is fielding candidates in all the 38 seats, Congress has put up 37 candidates and there are 14 Independents, election officials said today.
The last date of withdrawal for this phase was yesterday.
The two-phase election for the 60-member Assembly will be held on March 4 and 8 and results will be declared on March 11.
