17,990 cases resolved at National Lok Adalat

A total of 17,990 cases have been resolved at National Lok Adalats held at district and revenue courts.
Gautam Buddha Nagar District Legal Services Authority secretray Justice Niraj Gautam Civil Judge (Senior Division) today said that 7,043 cases were petty criminal cases, 5730 motor accident claims cases, 315 cheque-bounce cases under 138 NIA.
As many as 15 family matters, 26 land cases, 1,044 revenue cases, 238 pre-litigation cases and 973 electricity act cases were also resolved yesterday.
A sum of Rs 6,97,640 as fine was collected while Rs 93,82,799 was given as compensation to victims and Rs 1.29 crore as pre-litigation receipts to banks, he said.
