Judges from Gandhinagar, Amreli, Rajkot, Vadodara, Ahmedabad (city and rural), Mehsana, Nadiad, Bharuch, Surat and Vyara have been asked to retire after their performance review found them lacking, Registrar General of Gujarat High Court P R Patel said.
"The review was conducted by a committee of high court judges, who considered records of judicial officers in the cadre of additional district judges. After considering their records, it was decided to retire these judges compulsorily," Patel said.
Names of the additional district judges who have been asked to retire, were yet to be known.
