2,280 foreign liquor bottles seized from truck

In a large seizure, 2,280 bottles of foreign liquor were recovered from a truck near Jogiya village in this district of Bihar.
SP Satya Prakash said the police, acting on a tip off that a liquor consignment was passing through Grand Trunk Road (NH 2), raided the truck at a line hotel near the village and recovered 2280 bottles of foreign liquor.
All the bottles were of 750 gram weight each, he said.Ss
It could not be ascertained where the liquor was manufactured as the sticker pasted on the bottles did not specify the manufacturing state except 'Made in India', Prakash said.

Both the driver and co-driver managed to escape from the scene, he said, adding a staff of the line hotel has been detained for interrogation in this connection.
