Manjit Singh and his brothers -- Sharma Singh, Satnam Singh, and Gulshan Singh -- have allegedly been involved in drug peddling for the last several years.
"They used to receive consignments and deliver it to other peddlers operating mainly in the districts of Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, and Fazilka," said Rachhpal Singh, assistant inspector-general of police, STF (Border Range).
All the accused hailed from Jalalabad in Fazilka district. Manjit had procured agricultural land on a contract basis near Jalloke village, which is close to the International Border (IB), Singh said.
