2 arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl for 2 months

Two persons were arrested for allegedly raping as well as assisting the rape of a minor girl for two months.
Police sub-inspector Sachin Gaikwad of Manpada police station in Dombivili told PTI here today that the victim, aged 15, was a resident of Haji Malang Road in Kalyan.
According to a complaint lodged by the victim with the police on June 4, Premsingh Solanki (25) had allegedly raped her repeatedly between March 15 and May in the room of a chawl.
As per the complaint, Solanki committed the crime with the assistance of another accused Aarti Rahul Gupta, the owner of the room in the chawl, who allegedly abetted the offence.

The second accused Aarti, who allegedly helped Solanki to rape the minor, happens to be her own sister, the police said.
Both the accused allegedly threatened the survivor that she would be killed and her parents would be harmed if she revealed anything to anybody, the police said.
The duo have been charged under the Indian Penal Code and also the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, the police said.
