2 arrested for bovine smuggling in Samba
Press Trust of India Jammu Two persons were today arrested on charges of bovine smuggling from Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, police said.
During patrolling in the Samba area, a police party intercepted two persons who were herding 28 bovine animals towards Kathua from Samba side without permission, a police officer said.
The bovine smugglers, identified as Lal Hussian and Shahib Ali, were arrested on the spot and all the bovines were rescued, he said.
A case has been registered at Samba police station and an investigation is underway, he said.
