"Several people tried to storm into a polling station for suspected booth capturing in Dhabak area in Nagar constituency but were pushed outside," Bharatpur District Collector Neeraj K Pawan told PTI.
He said that they were accompanied by Nagar MLA Anita Singh who also threatened polling officers.
"Sector magistrate informed me that he was threatened by the MLA and her supporters. Additional force was rushed to the area immediately and the situation is under control," he said, adding, that the polling remained unaffected.
BJP MLA Anita Singh refuted the allegations of booth capturing attempt by her supporters in Dhabak. "No such effort was made by my supporters," she said.
The MLA said that it was she who informed the Collector about the booth capturing attempt in Mawai area.
