2 cops injured as locals attack police team in UP village

Two police constables, including a woman home guard, were injured after being attacked allegedly by locals when they went to settle a land dispute in Badhiya village here.
The incident took place yesterday when a police team reached the village to resolve the dispute and was chased by villagers, who attacked them with lathis and pelted stones at them, police said.
Subhash Kumar and homeguard Chitra were injured in the incident, they said.
The police have lodged an FIR against 25 persons in this regard and arrested two of them.
The situation is under control now, Circle officer Mahsi Anand Veer Singh said.
