Two persons died allegedly after consuming spurious liquor in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, police said on Thursday.
The incident occurred at Mohammadbux area under Phansidewa police station area of the north Bengal district.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.
Angry local people destroyed several illegal liquor manufacturing units after the death of the two, police said adding that they have started investigation.
The incident followed the death of 12 persons in a hooch tragedy in Nadia district in southern Bengal last month.
