2 engineers washed in flash floods in Kathua, one rescued

Two engineers of a private construction company were washed away in flash floods in a river in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district and one has been rescued, police said today.
Naresh Gupta and Raju Shah were inspecting an under construction bridge at Beni nallah in Kathua district, when flash floods washed them away last evening, police officials said.
Soon after the incident, police launched a rescue operation with the help of locals, they said, adding that Gupta, who had caught a tree, was rescued while efforts are on trace another engineer.
