Two fishermen went missing while five others were rescued when a traditional fishing boat 'Sadashiva Rudra' capsized in turbulent sea, 500 metres off the coast at Mukka near here last evening, police said.
Seven persons, including the missing two, ventured into the sea for fishing in the traditional boat yesterday morning but on the way back it got stuck in an estuary about 500 metres away from the shore and capsized, police said.
While the others were rescued by local fishermen, two were caught in the strong currents, they said, adding, search operations were on.
