Lucky Sharma, a resident of Mansa Devi Nagar, and Rekha Kaur, of Masat Nagar, were arrested by a joint team of Drugs and Narcotics Cell and CIA, Jalandhar Range, during special checking at nearby Mehtan village road, along National Highway 1, on the outskirts of Phagwara city on Thursday, police said.
During the checking, 52 kg of poppy husk was found which was kept in a bag, police said, adding that a case has been lodged against the accused under relevant sections of NDPS Act.
