One unidentified motorcyclist hit a woman on the National Highway at Gagwal area in Kathua district today, police said adding that she died on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Salma (65), they said.
In another accident, a car rolled into a deep gorge at Khori in Udhampur district, resulting to the death of a girl identified as Sonali (8) and injuring two others, police said.
There was a collision of vehicles at Barnoti area of Kathua district on the highway resulting in injuries to eight people last night, they said adding that the injured have been hospitalised.
