In daring twin attacks, suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants in combat uniform struck terror on the outskirts of Jammu in Kathua district and killed a civilian and a soldier guarding an Army camp gate, leaving three others injured.
In the first attack, three heavily-armed terrorists killed one civilian and injured three others and the same group which was later intercepted by Army personnel killed one Army jawan. Two terrorists were also killed in the encounter while hunt has been launched for to trace the third militant.
According to information being collected by various security agencies, a 'Bolero' SUV was intercepted by three men near a bridge in Hiranagar area and all the occupants were asked to line up.
