2 killed as bus carrying pilgrims overturns

Two persons were killed and 24 others injured when the bus in which they were travelling overturned here today, police said.
The bus, which was carrying some 80 pilgrims, was on its way to Ayodhya from Rae Bareli when it overturned near Langda ka Purva village under Mohanganj police station area, police said.
Basant Lal (40) and bus driver Sunil Kumar Sharma (38) died on the spot, they said.
The injured were rushed to Rae Bareli district hospital where the condition of five persons was stated to be serious, police said adding, the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
