Two people were killed and 15 injured when the bus they were travelling in rammed into a stationary truck on the Lucknow-Bareilly highway, police said today.
Bus driver Rajendra Prasad (40) and a passenger Satish Misra (30) were killed on the spot as the bus carrying 65 pilgrims from Sitapur to Haridwar hit the wheat-laden truck, SP (Rural) Satish Kumar said.
According to Kumar, the incident took place near Bilwa overbridge under Bhojipura police station.
The injured, of which two are serious, have been admitted to a hospital, the SP said.
