Bajrang Singh (35) and Shanker (40), both hailing from Rajasthan, were killed this morning on the spot when six trucks collided one by one with an oxygen tanker coming from the opposite direction this morning, a police official said.
As the tanker entered the wrong lane, the truck drivers could not apply brakes on time leading to the mishap, he said.
Superintendent of Police Sameer Saurabh said that the trucks were badly mangled and the casuality might increase.
Rescue work is on to save other people from the mangled trucks, he said.
The accident disrupted vehicular movement on the NH lane, the police said.
