2 killed in auto mishap

Two persons were killed and
three others injured when an auto-rickshaw overturned before city-centre I in Salt Lake satellite township area, in the north-eastern fringes of the city, today.
Police said the auto, plying on Karunamoyee-Ultadanga route, turned turtle while trying to overtake a speeding bus at a roundabout.
While the driver Sambhu Naskar (45) died on the spot, a passenger Arindam Banerjee succumbed to his injuries at a super-speciality private hospital on E M Bypass hours later, police said.
Three other passengers were undergoing treatment at hospital and condition of two of them was critical, police said.
