Norwegian police say that two people have been killed and at least three others injured when dynamite apparently exploded accidentally during roadwork at a railway underpass.
Local police said today's blast, near the center of Geilo in southern Norway, caused the evacuation of some people from nearby houses and closed a main highway.
Police say they have also asked a school in the town centre not to allow pupils to leave the school premises until further notice.
Explosives experts were called to the scene to help police in their investigation. No other details were immediately available.
