2 men wanted in robbery, murder cases in Gurugram arrested

Two persons, who were wanted in over two dozen cases of alleged robbery of liquor vends, extortion, attempt to murder in the city, have been arrested, police said today.
Sleuths of Gurugram Crime Branch Unit Sector-18 had arrested last night 19-year-old Aman and 21-year-old Rohit after a brief chase, a senior police official said.
"When police teams tried to stop when they reached at Garhi Harsaru Expressway. Having seen the police party, the duo opened fire, but they were chased and arrested while escaping from Delhi side," ACP (City) Rajiv Kumar said.
Police recovered two country-made weapons and two live cartridges from them.
Aman and Rohit, both residents of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, had allegedly robbed various liquor vends and multinational companies located at Bilaspur, Khirki Daula, Manesar, Khandsa in Gurugram, couple of months ago.
"During questioning, they told investigators, they had worked witha two-wheeler manufacturing company in Gurugram between 2014 and 2015 but could not earn handsome money. So, they along with two others formed a gang and committed crimes," the ACP said.
Efforts are on to nab their two associates, he added.
