Acting on a tip-off, authorities had launched a search operation in the jail and during which two mobile phones were recovered, police said adding, on complaint of Deputy Superintendent of Jail, a case was registered against some unidentified inmates in Baldev Nagar police station.
During last two months, around a dozen mobile phones have been seized from jail premises and three cases against unknown inmates were registered in the police station.
