Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Narinder Bhargva said that the accused were nabbed on a tip-off that they were selling substandard seeds.
Police raided their godown at a nearby village Rasoolpur, he said adding that a huge stock was recovered from the godown.
He said that the accused were identified as Sher Singh and Subhash Kumar respectively senior manager and deputy manager of Shri Ram Fertilisers and Chemicals.
They have been booked under various sections of the IPC including 420 (Cheating and dishonesty), 120 B (Criminal Conspiracy), 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon) and under essential commodity Act.
