58-year-old Ramkishan was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Khirni-phatak area yesterday, the police said.
The son-in-law of the deceased, Battu Lal, called the Jhotwara police informing that Ramkrishan was found dead in an field near their home, the police said.
The investigation in the case is underway, police said.
Meanwhile, in another incident, 42-year-old retired Army jawan Ranjeet Singh was run over by a train near Railway lines area of Jhotwara, the police said today.
The family members are suspecting it to be a case of suicide, they said.
