Acting on a complaint filed by a former department official Sham Lal Kamboj accusing the duo of demanding bribe of Rs 3 lakh in June for getting some work done, the Minister issued the suspension orders.
Joshi also deputed Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Rahul Tiwari, as inquiry officer for further investigation into the allegations.
The Minister said corruption and indiscipline would not be tolerated and the guilty officers would be not spared.
In a statement issued here, Joshi reiterated his resolve to weed out corruption in the rank and files of the department, besides hassle free and time bound delivery of services to citizens.
