While awarding death penalty to Selvam and Rangaraj, Additional Sessions Judge Mohammed Jiyabutheen sentenced three others - Daivasigaanai, Nagaraj and Anand to life term for their roles in the killings.
The prosecution case was that one Thangavel of Palladam and his 11-year-old daughter were burnt to death at different places on October 6, 2015.
While Thangavel's body was found near Mangalam, the girl's corpse was recovered at Vadavalli in Coimbatore.
