Two minor sisters were killed and a boy was injured in a landmine explosion in northwest Pakistan on Thursday, police said.
The incident happened at Meshta village in South Waziristan tribal district when a landmine suddenly exploded in a field where the three children were playing, they said.
The injured boy was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
In another incident at Kohat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, two sisters aged 7 and 5 died due to suffocation on Wednesday night after gas from a generator accumulated in a room where they were sleeping, police said.
