20-year-old girl raped on pretext of marriage

A case has been registered against a youth for allegedly raping a 20-year-old girl here on the pretext of marriage.
The victim today lodged a complaint against the youth at City Kotwali police station here, accusing him of rape, physical abuse and issuing life threats, Superintendent of Police, Anis Ansari said.
The girl maintained that the youth had promised to marry her, police said, adding that the matter is being looked into.
